Privacy Policy

Deep Fried Labs ("we", "us") makes calculator apps — CalcLite and SuperCalc+ — for the TI-84 Plus CE, along with a desktop app for Windows and Mac that installs them onto your calculator over USB. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
What we collect
- Account information. You sign in with your Google account. Authentication is handled by Clerk, and we receive your email address and name from your Google profile. We never see your Google password.
- Purchase information. When you buy SuperCalc+, payment is processed by Stripe. We keep a record of your purchase history so your lifetime license can be honored, along with a payment reference from Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe — we never see or store your card number.
- Calculator ID. When the desktop app installs a licensed app onto your calculator, we record the calculator's ID against your license. This is how we tie your purchase to your device and prevent license abuse.
The calculator apps themselves run entirely offline on your TI-84 Plus CE and collect nothing.
Cookies
We use only the essential cookies required to keep you signed in (set by Clerk, our authentication provider). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies, and there is no analytics tracking on this site.
The desktop app
Our desktop app (built with Tauri, for Windows and Mac) transfers apps to your calculator over USB. Calculator app files (.8xp) are streamed to your calculator in memory — they are never saved to your computer's disk. The desktop app communicates with our servers only to sign you in, check your license, and fetch the apps you're installing.
What we don't do
- We do not sell or rent your personal information.
- We do not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies.
- We do not collect anything from your calculator beyond its ID for licensing.
- We do not read, store, or upload any files or variables on your calculator.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of processors to run the service: Stripe (payment processing), Clerk (authentication, including Google sign-in), Supabase (our PostgreSQL database and file storage), and Railway (hosting for our API server). Each receives only what it needs to do its job, and each has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data.
Data retention
License and purchase records are kept for as long as your license is active, since a lifetime license needs a lifetime record. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time.
Your rights
You can request a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing support@deepfriedlabs.shop. Note that deleting your account also deletes the license attached to it.
Children
Our products are intended for students, including those under 18, but purchases and accounts should be made by someone aged 16 or older (or with a parent or guardian's involvement where required by local law).
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update this page and the date above.
